Anita founded The Law Office of Anita C. Turlington, PLLC  in 2021, after graduating magna cum laude from North Carolina Central University School of Law.

Prior to attending law school, Anita has held both administrative and management roles in the non-profit sector, with one of her most notable being the first employee of the Me Fine Foundation which provides emotional support and financial assistance to families whose children are receiving care at North Carolina partner hospitals. The organization has grown from having one dollar in the bank to an organization having assets upwards towards a million dollars.

 

She has also worked with the American Society of Echocardiography with the goal of advancing cardiovascular ultrasound internationally and improving lives through excellence in education, research, innovation, advocacy, and service to the profession and the public; as well as with the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering, the global industry leader in connecting pharmaceutical knowledge to deliver manufacturing and supply chain innovation, operational excellence and regulatory insights to enhance industry efforts to develop, manufacture and reliably deliver quality medicines to patients.

It is Anita’s desire to utilize her non-profit experience coupled with her legal knowledge to grow Dermatology Solutions of North Carolina Cares to actively prevent skin cancer.
